Rev. Jim Driskell MDiv

Pastor Jim Driskell was ordained to the ministry in July 2010 at First Saint Johns Lutheran Church where he continues to serve.  He has a very wide life experience that makes him uniquely qualified to serve the ministry here at First Saint Johns.
He and his wife Marge grew up and raised their children in a large city outside of Boston, Massachusetts. After graduation Pastor Jim enrolled at Bridgewater State College and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. Pastor Jim served 29 years with 4 years of active duty after 9/11. He had over 1900 hours of underway time for Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement, he was also deployed to Puerto Rico and Spain for force protection of U.S. personnel and vessels. He worked in commercial finance for twenty years for Chase Manhattan, Motorola, Fleet National Bank, Entex, Robert Half Int’l and the Massachusetts State Treasurer. Pastor Jim graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, Ma with a Bachelors degree in Business Management and from Concordia Seminary St Louis, Mo with a Masters of Divinity Degree.
Pastor Jim’s wife, Marge, also does a great deal to serve and support First Saint Johns. Marge runs the Food Bank, works with others on our baked goods distribution on Mondays, helps to organize worship with Pastor Jim along with the worship committee ably supported by our Minister of Music Ken Sanders. Jim and Marge have three children Erica, James and Timothy.
