WYCO 106.1

First St Johns radio station, Community 106.1, has it’s FCC broadcasting license valid until 2022. This will allow us to spread the Gospel and reach out with community services on 106.1 FM in the city of York and nearby communities for the foreseeable future.

Our licensed broadcasting includes programming with high school dj’s Monday through Friday, 6-9 AM and local weather daily hourly by S&S Storm Chasers. At 9AM we have a program called Hope For The Heart; noon, a program called Treasured Truths; at 2PM we have Today in the Word; 2:30 we have Radical. These last two programs are aimed at men. At 3 PM we have an hour of local talent ; at 5:30 till 6 we broadcast Spanish Gospel music and we continue with Dia a Dia in Spanish at 6. From 7-9 PM we have classical music. We have 2 programs in the development stage called York First, a public affairs program and White Rose Topics that will
delve into York’s history with interesting facts. We broadcast medical minutes from Family First Health and have Civil War moments being developed. On Sunday we have The Lutheran Hour at 7 AM and 12:30 PM. Pastor Driskell’s past sermons can be heard at 10:30 AM.

WORD FM had donated $3,000 worth of Southern Gospel music, so we have a large library of that. We also play contemporary Christian and standard religious and praise and worship. We are attempting to reach the unchurched or those who have not heard about Jesus in a music style to which they can relate.
